Getting healthy and fit doesn't happen overnight, and you need to stay consistent to see real results. It can be difficult to maintain motivation for a long time, especially when you have a setback. But how do I get fit and stay fit and healthy? In this article, we'll give you 8 tips to get fitter that can go a long way in helping you get started.

1. Set goals to get fitter

It is important to set goals when you want to get fitter. This way you really have something to work towards and you can also stay more motivated to achieve that goal. It is important to discover what you really want. Do you want to feel fit, do you want to get more energy, do you want to lose weight and get fit or do you want to feel good about yourself again? If you know what you're doing it for, you'll be able to keep it up more easily.

2. Get fit quickly? Be realistic

Instagram is full of pictures of fitgirls and fitboys with the perfect body. Often these photos are not reality and can be demotivating. Don't compare yourself to these pictures and see what is realistic for you to get fit. There are also 100 different ways online that promise you that you can get fit in 2 weeks. Getting fit and losing weight quickly sounds fun, but it's important that you stay realistic and work on a strong foundation.

3. Get enough sleep to feel fit

Of course, it sounds obvious, but it's important that you get enough sleep. This will make you feel fitter and more motivated to exercise. 4. Take rest days

To get fit, you don't have to work up a sweat every day. It's important to also take rest days between your workouts. Your body needs rest days to recover. 5. Get fit? Keep challenging yourself
